High Performance JKruz Mirror Series Lenses
(Only applies to our Italian Framed Sunglasses)

Our High Performance Mirror Series Lenses are based on a few simple but necessary technologies.  
We enhance visual performance by selectively filtering specific wavelengths of the visible light spectrum.  
This gives us the ability to precisely allow the light needed to boost the wearer’s depth perception 
while maintaining true color recognition. 

We started with a specially designed version of the JKruz Signature Series Lens. It’s difficult to improve 
on lenses that were almost perfect to begin with. We knew with mirror technology we would be able to take 
it a step further. We developed a base lens that allows more light through so when we applied the mirror 
technology we would achieve the perfect total transmission of the visible light spectrum. It gives the wearer 
a visual advantage over the competition. 

Multilayer Finishes
Our mirror finishes are held to high standards.  We use a multilayer dielectric titanium mirror finish.  
This multilayer stack is uniformly applied across the surface of each lens to ensure the highest 
performance at every angle of the lenses curvature.  These layers are the secret to the selective filtering 
process.

Color and the Visible Light Spectrum
JKruz technology is based on the fact that we need to allow more light in certain parts of the 
spectrum and less in the others.  There isn’t a primary color of the visible light spectrum that we 
don’t allow through our lenses. (Ultra Violet light is not visible to the human eye.)  We simply only 
allow through the correct amounts in each color nanometer.   We don’t completely eliminate the blue or 
yellow sections of the spectrum.  Both in high levels can cause visual distraction and eye 
strain.  However the right amount allowed through helps give the truest colors, lessen eye strain, improve 
clarity and give the sought after visual crispness.

Hydrophobic Encapsulation
To ensure our mirrors standup to the elements, they are all hydrophobically encapsulated. This provides 
armor like protection for the multilayer mirror stack.  Hydrophobic encapsulation is a process 
of sealing and bonding the multilayer mirror stack to the lens.  This treatment makes a super slick water 
resistant bond.  It makes the lenses easier to clean and care for. This also immensely increases the 
lenses scratch resistance and anti-static properties. With hydrophobic encapsulation the multilayer 
mirror stack is no longer susceptible to the elements.

Each color of mirror finish is formulated to achieve specific visual enhancement.

Cobalt Blue
A true achievement in mirror technology, designed to perform in every bright light condition. It’s offshore 
fishing performance, fast paced object recognition allow this lens to shine in every sport that demands 
optical acuity, clarity, and the edge needed to compete at the highest level, from tournament fishing 
to professional baseball.

Vibrant Green
Designed very closely to the cobalt blue, it was engineered to give its wearers more contrast and depth 
perception while trying to maintain true color recognition. Another step forward in the enhancement of 
sports optics.
